I have been a long time sales professional.....I am constantly amazed those in corporations who do not value sales people..... My thoughts.....you could have the best product in the world.....and if no one builds the relationship with the customer...and tells them about it.....no one will ever buy it.....

Pharmaceutical Companies 2007

I used to work for a pharmaceutical company. While I got some great experience, met a lot of fantastic people, and learned a ton....I was ashamed of what the industry had become....A bunch of cheerleader blond hair pharma reps....with no sales or scientific skills......dropping cases and cases of samples ....to a bunch of whore doctors.....it really had become the "whore and John" relationship....... "Big Pharma" today is a sad state of affairs..their lack of meaningful innovation have lead to a run of "me too products" and the need "invent" disorders for drugs to work against. The best example is "restless leg syndrome"......COME ON! Anyway...this comic from today hits the pharma industry right between the eyes.
